LuLu’s Annual Mardi Gras Golf Cart Parade

 

Mardi Gras provides citizens with a way to celebrate life. For those unfamiliar with the holiday, the annual event can be summed up in one phrase. Laissez les bons temps rouler, which is French for “Let the good times roll”. 

 

Following suit with the aforementioned theme, LuLu’s hosts annual Mardi Gras LSV parades. This year the highly-anticipated event is scheduled for Saturday, February 26th at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Other noteworthy details are highlighted below.

 

  • The first twenty golf cart owners that register to join the parade receive a $25 gift card
  • Live music is scheduled from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
  • The low speed vehicle parade starts at 2:00 PM
  • Contests for low speed vehicle decor and best dressed are planned
  • Golf cart decoration contest issues $200 to first place, $100 to second, and $50 to third
  • Top three contestants nominated for best dressed get a $50 LuLu’s gift card
  • Free family fun and King Cake

11th Annual Zaniest Golf Cart Parade

 

Citizens in Galveston, Texas are planning to hold the 11th Annual Zaniest Golf Cart Parade on Saturday, February 19th, at 1:00 PM. Those participating in the Mardi Gras themed event are encouraged to decorate their low speed vehicle in a creative way that matches one of the following decor categories.

 

  • Zaniest
  • Most Decorated
  • Most Spirited
  • Crew
  • Art

 

All winning carts earn online recognition, however, the LSV that earns the Most Decorated title receives four balcony tickets.

East Bank Mardi Gras Golf Cart Parade

 

In Benton, Louisiana, low speed vehicle fans are gathering at the East Bank District & Plaza on February 12th for the second annual Mardi Gras golf cart parade. To participate, owners of EZ Gos, Club Cars, and other luxury golf carts are required to decorate their LSV in a Mardi Gras theme, as well as line up behind the Bossier Arts Council building at 4:00 PM. 

 

However, the parade doesn’t actually start until 7:00 PM. Golf car owners that do not mind this delay may be excited to know parade participants are automatically entered into two decor contests, and winners receive a $250 prize.

  • $100 entry fee
  • Discount available for multiple carts
  • LSV drivers must have a valid license
  • Only four people per cart allowed
  • Low speed vehicle owners must be ready to go by 6:45 PM
