Upcoming Moped Rallies in 2022

To show their adoration for powersports machines, moped owners occasionally meet up and ride their motorized devices together in a group. During these celebratory trips, motor scooter fans make pit stops at predefined locations to eat, rest, and conduct festive activities. Scooter fans hoping to experience one of these lovely gatherings may want to check out some of the upcoming moped rallies in 2022.

 

The Muff Peddlers Midwest Moped Prom

 

Prom is not for everyone. Nevertheless, the adult scooter group known as the Muff Peddlers Midwest have scheduled a moped prom from August 5th – 7th in Lawrence, Kansas. If everything goes as planned, motor scooter enthusiasts may be able to experience the following events with fellow powersports machine fans.

 

  • Friday night brewery ride featuring six stops and a rest period at the last location
  • Saturday drive that covers over 60 miles of terrain
  • Event ends at a prom-like setting with live music, fun raffles, and crownings

 

As an added bonus, good eats from Treats and Dos! Pizza is included. Owners of scooters with a seat that are eager to be in the upcoming moped prom are encouraged to donate $20 to cover event expenses, but are not required to do so.

 

Mosquito Fleet presents: Blood Drive 22

 

Despite the name, no bodily fluids are actually donated during the gas powered scooter event known as Blood Drive. That said, the annual event is hosted by the Mosquito Fleet moped gang, and this year the festivity is set to take place August 12th – 14th in Seattle, Washington. During the event, motorized scooter owners can anticipate participating in the following activities.

 

  • Sunset rides
  • Live music
  • Brunch
  • Lunch
  • Ferry rides

 

The Mosquito Fleet is also offering event-goers themed t-shirts. However, it is important to note the event-themed attire is only available on a first come, first served basis.

 

Moped GP East

 

Scooter racers eager to show off their driving skills may want to attend the Moped GP East this year from August 27th – 28th. The exciting event takes place at the Lafayette Motorsports Park in New York, and organizers have planned the following itinerary for each day.

 

  • 8:45 AM – scooter with a seat riders meetup
  • 9:00 AM – moped practice rides start
  • 10:30 AM – qualifying motorized device races begin
  • 1:00 PM – lunch break
  • 1:30 PM – official used powersports machine races start

 

Once the competitions are over on Saturday, e scooter owners are invited to practice track riding if time permits. However, when the races end on Sunday this leniency is not repeated, and the time slot is utilized to hold a ceremony where awards, as well as points, are distributed to racers based on their performance. 

 

Moped fans aiming to race on both days are encouraged to keep the following details in mind.

 

  • Camping is available at a nearby campground for an extra fee
  • Registration starts Friday evening and ends Saturday at 8:00 AM
  • Mandatory moped tech inspections start Friday night 
  • Deadline to schedule a motor scooter inspection is 9:00 AM on Saturday
